Sony To Shut its SF Metreon PlayStation store

Sony is closing down its one-and-only U.S. PlayStation store at the Metreon mall in San Francisco. The recession is clearly to blame, but it’s happening at time when Microsoft — which opened and shut its own Microsoft store at the Metreon — is going to open a chain of its own stores.

Midway's bankrupt, owes $281,033,000 to 29 companies

GamePolitics has combed through federal court records for additional insights into Midway's recent bankruptcy. They have learned that Midway claims $167,523,000 in assets versus $281,033,000 in liabilities, owing $150M to Wells Fargo Bank alone. Other companies they owe include Epic Games, Warner Bros. and Best Buy.
